Construction of Stainless Steel Resistors.
Stainless Steel Resistors are composed of 3 parts: resistor body, skeleton, and lead terminals (solid resistors are resistor bodies and skeleton combined into one). The resistance value is determined solely by the resistor element. For a resistive element with a uniform cross-section, the resistance value is given by the formula, where ρ is the resistivity of the resistive material (ohms-cm); L is the length of the resistive element (cm); A is the cross-sectional area of the resistive element (square centimeter).
